1. Service Overview

SaleMap.org ("SaleMap," "we," "us") provides a web-based tool that helps community associations organize and map community-wide garage sale events. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an organizer account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One organization account may manage multiple events.

3. Free and Premium Plans

The free plan supports up to 10 household listings per event. The Premium plan ($39 per event) supports up to 1,000 listings with priority support. Premium upgrades are non-refundable once the event has been published with more than 10 listings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false addresses or fraudulent registrations
  • Use the service for any purpose other than organizing community sale events
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download map data or user information
  • Attempt to circumvent listing limits or payment requirements

5. Content and Data

You retain ownership of the content you submit (event details, household names, addresses). By submitting content, you grant SaleMap a license to display it on your event's public map page and, after household-level details are removed, as part of a public historical archive.

6. Data Retention

Public event pages may remain online indefinitely as community historical records. Household names, exact street addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and generated print assets are removed from the public archive 30 days after the sale ends.

7. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. SaleMap does not store credit card numbers. All transactions are subject to Stripe's terms of service.

8. Limitation of Liability

SaleMap is provided "as is." We make no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy of geocoding, or map availability. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific event in question.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account.
